The foundation of any successful breeding program is the mares -- that and only that.....
James Henry Martin

James Henry Martin was a cowboy. He rode horses well into his sixties, bareback and bridleless. He was also a very wise man, and we believe in his vision. We have assembled our broodmare band accordingly. We chose conformationally correct mares, who were sound in mind and body, tested in competition, free of vice, and embodiments of the qualities we most wished to produce in our horses -- athleticism, spirit, beauty, refinement.

And So We Present Our Ladies in Waiting:

Roxanne NA
(*Enoss x Rio Rita NA)

Daughter of the Polish National Champion Stallion *Enoss and Rio Rita NA, an Aristocrat with 4 champions to her credit, including National and Scottsdale winners. A beautiful, elegant mare with powerful motion and absolutely correct confirmation. Her first daughter for us was Region XVI Reserve Champion Futurity Filly.

Malika Rose GFA
(Concensus ++++// x MC Justa Malik)

Simply exquisite! Tall, feminine, beautifully built and correct, with a powerful trot. Impeccable pedigree – sire is multi US National halter and performance winner, dam is a retired park horse. Malika was a Region XVI Reserve Champion English Futurity Enlgish horse, and Top Five Halter winner before an injury cut short her performance career.

Kalee Bourbon Bey
(Sey Raseyr x Stonewalls Queen of Hearts)

“Kairi” was our first horse. We bought her at two, and campaigned her until she was seven, when we retired her to the broodmare barn. She won Class A championships in Halter, Driving, Country English Pleasure and Informal Combination before finding her niche as a park horse. In one year, she was Region 16, Region 14 and Buckeye Reserve Champion Open Park Horse. Kairi remained completely sound and willing from her first day in the show ring to her last. The four foals she has produced for us have in three years of showing won two regional halter futurity awards, one regional performance award and seven top tens and a championship at NSH finals. One of her foals was also named NSH Hunter High Point Horse for 2006.

(Safire x FR Wispering Wind)

A lovely, refined daughter of Wispering Wind, she earned two regional Top Fives in CEP Jr Horse, and Class A championships in Country Pleasure Driving before we retired her. Her sire was a US Top Ten in halter and English pleasure, and her grandsire a US National Champion in Park AOTR. The first of her two foals has won 6 Top Fives and 1 Regional Championship as well as a Region XVI Futurity Halter Reserve Championship.

MC Justa Malik
(The Chief Justice x Malika Iwonkatez)

Molly too is a retired show horse. She has Class A Championships in English Pleasure and Park, and was Nationals bound before an injury ended her show career. But it is in the breeding barn that Molly excels – her foals have won 27 regional awards, and her produce have won 31 regional awards, and 8 NSH Finals titles.
